Green Dragon

The idea: Wizkids only made a red, black, blue and white dragon, I wanted a nice emerald green coloured one. Also their white dragon in my opinion, looks like a cow with a giant tongue sticking through its front teeth! This needed to be fixed!

Original Piece: Radient Light Dragon , by Wizkids

Added Materials: Lots of Milliput!

Method: This was the first of the three dragons I remodled, and also the one I put the most work into! The first thing I decided to try was to bend the tail using a pot of boiling water and a sink full of cold water. This actually worked rather well, and I managed to get it straightened a bit and curved to the left. After this was done, I sawed the back 2 legs off and realigned them in a rearing back, or landing position. The tongue was then carefully removed, and saved for later. Using a very sharp knife, the lower part of the jaw was cut off at the base of the lower teeth. This kept the upper teeth intact and only required minor work cutting out the excess plastic out around the upper teeth. Bottom teeth were sculpted out of Milliput and added to the bottom jaw which was then rejoined and smothed out with yet more Milliput. Dinosaur like fins were added to the head to make it look more like a reptile and less like a cow. Large horns were then added to the back of the head and 2 smaller horns were added to the top by the nose. Then I glued the wings in place and smoothed out all the joins of the piece including each leg, neck, wings, and other assembly joints with... you guessed it, Milliput. Last the tongue was glued inside the mouth where it should be, and the whole piece was painted.

Silver Dragon

The idea: To create a mettalic dragon, much like the style of the silver dragon in the Dungeons and Dragons universe.

Original Piece: Venomous Shadow Dragon , by Wizkids

Added Materials: Milliput

Method: This project was simple, all I wanted to do to this dragon was change it's fin from short spikes to a tall thin wavy fin. First the tip of the tail was cut away on one side to match the style of dragon, as well as each spike along the back to better receive the Milliput. Then the large fin was added and textured. The whole piece was painted silver and inked with black, and the toenails and horns were painted bronze.

Bone Dragon

The idea: To make a bloddy bone zombie dragon to look better with my undead army.

Original Piece: Polar Ice Dragon, by Wizkids

Added Materials: Bone golem bits, and Milliput

Method: 2 shoulderpads from a Mage Knight bone golem were removed and glued to the shoulders of the dragon. Then Milliput was added to the chest, and detailed to have some texture and shape. Milliput was also added to the top of the hind legs to look somewhat like stepped bone armor. The same design was carved into a Milliput ridge added to the top of the head. A larger ridge was added to the inside of the neck. Next a Dremmel tool was used to make random cuts through the skin parts of the wings to make them look tattered and scarred. The dragon was painted with a variety of paints and inks, and sprayed with a matte finish sealer.

~Why no Red Great Fire Dragon Mod? Most believe it to be the best of the 4 making obtaining a second one too difficult. Have one you don't want? I'd gladly trade something for it! Here is a pic
